Dr Laura Evenstar
PhD, BSc (Hons), FHEA, PGCert, PPM
With over 20 years of experience in higher education, I specialise in supporting students, particularly those with neurodiversity, to reach their full potential.
About me:
- I hold a PG Cert with Merit in Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties from the University of Birmingham.
- I am an Accredited Practitioner (APS) with the British Dyslexia Association.
- I am a professional member of PATOSS.
As someone with both dyslexia and ADHD, I understand the challenges these conditions can present, but also the unique strengths they bring. This personal experience fuels my passion for making education engaging, accessible, and tailored to each student's needs. After years of teaching and mentoring students, I shifted my career towards tutoring, where I can more directly support students in overcoming challenges and building confidence.
I offer tutoring in the following areas for primary, secondary and FE students in;
- Geography
- Geology
- Maths
- Science
- Study skills
- Support in neurodiversity
Whether you're looking to improve academic performance, develop better study habits, or manage neurodiverse challenges, I’m here to help make learning enjoyable and empower students to succeed.
